I had a very good book I kept through all three of my pregnancies then passed it on to someone who needed it. I think it was titled 'A New Life' or something like that. It's good to read the truth and not listen to stories and tales which scare the crap out of you. :)Pat Holletthttp://patriciahollett.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4575678791312760213.post-3169387547604681152012-02-18T10:56:29.945-08:002012-02-18T10:56:29.945-08:00That's wonderful --a book that has inspired yo...That's wonderful --a book that has inspired you to help other women--amazing! I had midwives for both of my pregnancies --due to complications I ended up needing a transfer of care but they were still there with me the whole time!Angela Addamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00283366504707259705noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4575678791312760213.post-27813486128243405862012-02-17T14:27:09.873-08:002012-02-17T14:27:09.873-08:00Sounds like an interesting book indeed. I haven't been pregnant yet but my husband and I do want kids at some point.

But yes, the concept of being pregnant has grown into a bit of a freak out for me based on everything I've heard over the years. Not least of all the information I've seen about giving birth in America (where I am now) compared to England - I've even raised the question with my husband about going back to England to give birth, whenever I am pregnant, because the US birthing "techniques" and routines scare the crap out of me. They don't seem to put the process of giving birth, nor the mother, as any importance. It's more a case of doing as many deliveries as possible to get a quick turnover of beds.

So thank you for the recommendation, it's a book I'll definitely check out.Natalie Westgatehttp://nataliewestgate.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4575678791312760213.post-28062305420319517262012-02-17T11:38:15.258-08:002012-02-17T11:38:15.258-08:00A solid review and something that sounds ideal to ...A solid review and something that sounds ideal to help get rid of some of the fear for the person concerned. I've done child birth three times and each one brings back good memories, some more than others :) Good for you for taking these experiences and using them to help other woman.Marianne Suhttp://www.mariannesu.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4575678791312760213.post-48600073658509308862012-02-16T18:15:15.103-08:002012-02-16T18:15:15.103-08:00My friend @ work is due at the end of this month! ...My friend @ work is due at the end of this month!
